Well, in case you haven't been keeping track of all the details, MTV News has compiled a handy-dandy cheat sheet to get you in the know before the video drops.</P><P>From the song's recording to the video's shoot, we have the inside scoop on the making of "Boyfriend" from the people who helped create it.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Exclusive Preview: Justin Bieber's 'Boyfriend'" id="vid:765191.id:1684316" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P><b>The Track</b><br> For the lead single off <i>Believe,</i> Bieber hit the studio with Mike Posner and Mason Levy. Posner shared with us that Bieber had some <a href="/news/articles/1684292/justin-bieber-boyfriend-mike-posner-sessions.jhtml">killer instincts in the studio</a>. "Justin's super hands-on with his music," he explained. "He comes up with amazing melodies &#8212; that's what I was most impressed by. We'd put on a beat or something, and he goes into a booth, and he freestyles these melodies, and they're crazy."</P><P><b>Swag Without Fondue</b><br> Leading up to the release of the video, Bieber made it clear that it wasn't going to play into the song's lyrics literally. Although he makes mention of <a href="/news/articles/1683042/justin-bieber-boyfriend-buzz-lightyear.jhtml">fondue and Buzz Lightyear</a> in the song, he shared with MTV News that both visuals were left on the cutting room floor. "No, no, I won't be dressed up as Buzz Lightyear," he said. "I think there's some copyright issues. I can't use that."</P><P><b>The Video's Locale</b><br> Bieber took over a <a href="/news/articles/1683642/justin-bieber-boyfriend-music-video-kiss.jhtml">Los Angeles rooftop</a> in late March to shoot the lead video off his <i>Believe</i> album. In photos leaked from the set, Bieber was seen riding in muscle cars and chilling with an exotic-looking brunette, all under the watchful eye of his girlfriend, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/gomez__selena/artist.jhtml">Selena Gomez</a>.</P><P><b>The Video's Concept and Co-Star</b><br> Judging from the <a href="/news/articles/1684318/justin-bieber-boyfriend-video-sneak-peek.jhtml">tease</a>, the video's all about a big rooftop party filled with good vibes. During the celebration, Bieber gets cozy with a girl that happens to look a bit like Gomez. "You know, I guess Justin has a type that he likes, so hey, you know, there you go," the video's director, <a href="/news/articles/1684332/justin-bieber-boyfriend-video-director.jhtml">Director X</a>, tells MTV News about the casting.</P><P>Want more behind-the-scenes scoop from Bieber himself? The singer will sit down with MTV News' Sway Calloway on Thursday to premiere his "Boyfriend" music video during "MTV First: Justin Bieber" live at 7:50 p.m. ET on MTV. After the video premieres on air, Bieber will chat with Sway for 30 minutes on MTV.com, opening up about the clip as well as his June 19 album release, <i>Believe.</i> But that's not all: If you have a burning question for Bieber, you can get in on the fun by commenting below or tweeting @MTVNews with the hashtag #MTVFirst or #AskBieber.</P><P>Immediately following the premiere, the "Boyfriend" video will be available on MTV.com, so Beliebers can watch it over and over and over again.</P><P><b>Don't miss the "Boyfriend" video premiere tonight at 7:50 p.m. ET/PT on MTV during "MTV First: Justin Bieber," followed by a live Q&A with Justin himself on MTV.com!</b></P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Explains How The 'Boyfriend' Video Reflects The 'Believe' Era" id="vid:757407.id:1682760" width="415" height="255"></div><p></p></p>

IDC: Apple makes big gains in tablet market, Android stumbles

Image

Research firm IDC predicted there would be a steep drop off in tablet shipments during Q1 of 2012. Following the surge of sales during the holiday season, a fall of 34 percent, while certainly staggering, is hardly surprising. But there's bad news: shipments failed to meet even those bleak predictions. Shipments fell by 38.4 percent, thanks in large part to Android slates stumbling dramatically. After a reasonably impressive holiday season, IDC expected Android would continue to make inroads in the market. Instead, the number of units moved dropped drastically, allowing Apple to not just maintain its position at the top of the heap, but assert an unquestionable dominance not seen since the early days of Honeycomb. After accounting for 54.7 percent of all tablet shipments in Q4 of 2011, the iPad opened up an impressive lead, claiming 68 percent of the market in Q1 of 2012. What's more, after catapulting to the number two spot by shipping 4.8 million units at the end of last year, Amazon fell to number three -- accounting for only 4 percent of tablets shipped, a precipitous fall from 16.8 percent last quarter. That's good news for Samsung, however, which reclaimed its place as first runner up slate wars. For more, check out the PR after the break.

HTC One X for AT&amp;T review

HTC One X for AT&T review

After last year's scattered lineup of products, HTC's been going through a bit of a renaissance lately thanks to the One X, One S and One V -- a beautifully focused trio of phones that run the company's new, lightweight Sense 4 skin on top of Ice Cream Sandwich. Hot on the heels of T-Mobile's One S comes AT&T's One X, which is launching May 6 for $199 on contract. The reworked device gains LTE and drops NVIDIA's quad-core Tegra 3 chip for a dual-core Snapdragon S4. So, does this brain transplant make it a better or worse proposition than the global One X? Hit the break to find out.

T-Mobile Prism leaked: entry-level Huawei smartphone to launch in May

T-Mobile Prism leaked: entry-level Huawei smartphone to launch in May

While the design (and even the briefing slides) scream affordable, we're sure there must be some Big Magenta customers aching for a keenly-priced smartphone fix. So here's the Prism. Huawei's behind that T-Mobile face, cooking up a Android Gingerbread phone with a pretty weedy 600MHz processor and a 3.5-inch (480 x 320) touchscreen. A fixed-focus (yeah) 3.2-megapixel camera pokes out the back, while a microSD slot means you can extend space for those vaguely-almost-in-focus shots -- the Prism arrives with a 2GB card already onboard. The phone looks set for a May 6th release date and TmoNews has several more slides with some extra launch details -- you can check them out at the source below.

Vodafone UK cuts HTC One X and One S prices for a limited time

HTC One series

Perhaps anticipating some big news from Samsung later in the week, Vodafone UK has lowered its on-contract prices for HTC's new One X and One S.

The flagship 4.7-inch One X is now available for free on 24-month plans starting at £36 per month -- that gets you  600 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB. Meanwhile the smaller, thinner One S can now be yours from £31 per month, which comes with 300 minutes, the same unlimited texts package and 500MB. Neither is a trivial amount of money, but it's not at all bad when you consider you're getting a £450+ smartphone for nothing along with it.

Vodafone says the new prices will remain in place for just under a couple of weeks, expiring on Monday, May 14, so there's plenty of time to get on board. And if you're on the fence, then why not check out our reviews of the international HTC One X and One S for more on both devices.
