MILWAUKEE ? Tim Sullivan, former Bucyrus International CEO and currently the special consultant to Governor Walker for Workforce Development and Education, will be the next guest for ?On the Issues with Mike Gousha,? Thursday, Sept. 13, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. in Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan Street.
What do we do about an acute skills gap in Wisconsin, one that combined with an aging workforce could threaten the state?s economic future? As the leader of a large mining equipment manufacturer that experienced explosive growth in the last decade, Sullivan saw firsthand this serious challenge facing the state. Now he?s recommending major reforms to our education and workforce development systems and calling for Wisconsin to be more immigrant-friendly. Sullivan will make his case for change at the next ?On the Issues? event.
